Sound of the Sea Privacy Policy
Effective: October 11, 2026
This policy describes how the iOS app "Sound of the Sea" (the "App") handles your information. The App is developed and operated by nekotatamao.
1. Information the developer collects
The developer does not collect personal information such as your name, contact details or location through the App. The App has no developer-operated servers or analytics. However, Google collects information to serve ads, as described in section 2.
If you contact us through the form in section 8, the name, email address, message and any other information you enter in the form are used only to reply to your inquiry. The form is a Google Form, so its contents are stored on Google's services.
2. Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and check ad consent, AdMob may collect and use information such as the advertising identifier (IDFA, only if you allow it), an app- or developer-scoped device identifier (such as the IDFV, which may be used even if you don't allow tracking), approximate region inferred from your IP address, device model and OS version, app launches and how ads are viewed or tapped, and diagnostic information about app performance and crashes.
- Tracking for personalized ads happens only if you choose "Allow" when iOS asks whether the App may track your activity. Every feature of the App works even if you don't. You can stop tracking at any time by turning the App off in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for ad consent through Google's consent management tool. Users in certain US states can opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information for personalized ads. You can change or withdraw consent, or opt out, at any time in the App under Settings → Ad privacy settings (shown only to users in those regions).
- Google handles this information under its own privacy policy, with protection equal to or greater than this policy. For details, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and the Google Privacy Policy.
3. Paid feature (Remove Ads)
Purchasing and restoring "Remove Ads" is handled by Apple's App Store. The developer never receives your payment information.
4. Information handled on your device
Photos, videos and names you add to "My Beach" are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere. The App only reads the photos and videos you pick in the system photo picker, and removes location data from photos when saving them. Settings such as language and volume are also stored on your device.
In "Tilt", the App reads your device's tilt (accelerometer and gyroscope) to move the waves. It is used only in the moment and is never stored or sent anywhere.
5. Deleting your data
Delete a beach in the App, or delete the App, to remove its data from your device. Apart from what you send through the contact form, the developer holds no data about you. To have that information (including your name and email address) deleted, let us know through the contact form. To review or request deletion of information Google handles for advertising, follow the methods described in the Google Privacy Policy.
6. For users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
Information is processed for advertising mainly on the basis of the consent you give in the consent tool (some purposes may rely on the legitimate interests of Google and other vendors shown in that tool, which you can object to on the same screen). You can withdraw consent at any time in the App under Settings → Ad privacy settings. Information for advertising is sent to Google LLC (USA) and handled under the safeguards Google provides. Information you send through the contact form is processed on the basis of the developer's legitimate interest in replying to your inquiry.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to and port your information, and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country. Requests to the developer can be made through the contact form. The developer does not hold the information Google handles for advertising, so please make those requests to Google as described in section 5.
7. Changes to this policy
Any changes will be posted on this page.
8. Contact
